Weekly Market Forecast: 7th – 15th May 2018
The market turned south this week snapping a five-week bullish move. The NIFTY closed at 10618.25 down 0.69% for the week. Interestingly, BANK NIFTY closed stronger. It closed at 25645.40 for the week, up by 2.10%. The BSE Midcap index closed sharply lower at 16561.01 down 0.98%, and BSE Smallcap also closed in red at 17991.45 down by 1.37%. While, the monthly trend for the broader Indian markets continues to be bullish, the weekly trend is moving sideways. Next week, market movement will continue to be guided by Q4 results. The big ones are ICICI Bank, Godrej Consumer, Eicher Motors, Lupin, Asian Paints, Titan, and Zee Entertainment.

Weekly Market Forecast: 30th April – 6th May 2018
The market had a good bullish move and ended positive for a fifth week in a row. The NIFTY closed at 10692.30 up 1.21% for the week, and up 5.72% for the month. The BANK NIFTY which had closed weaker last week, bounced back with a strong move and traded close to 1000 points in the week at 25394.60, up by 1.81%. The BSE Midcap index closed at 16917.17 up 0.70%, and BSE Small cap closed at 18239.96 up only 0.34%. The monthly trend for the broader Indian markets continues to be bullish. The next week market movement will be guided by results of another set of blue-chips viz. HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dabur, HCL, Hero Moto, Adani Port, Vedanta, and Ambuja Cements.

Weekly Market Forecast: 16 – 20 April 2018
The week ended in green for the market. The NIFTY index closed at 10480.60 up 1.44% for the week and 3.63% since end of March. The BANK NIFTY also followed the boarder market index and closed at 25200.6 up by 1.32% for the week and 3.86% since end of March. The BSE Midcap index closed at 16677.76 up 0.49%, and BSE Small cap closed at 17982 up 0.55%. Although the monthly trend for the broader Indian markets is bullish, we advise to trade with caution in this week of financial results and expected more exposures of banking frauds.

Global markets have become volatile due to trade-war tensions between China & US. The US bourses closed in RED on Friday. Dow Jones fell 122.91 points for the day. NASDAQ and S&P 500 followed Dow and fell by 0.43% and 0.81% respectively.

In the next week, data on WPI index will have some effect on the market as it expected to be marginally higher 2.58% compared to 2.48% on a YoY basis.

Weekly Market Forecast: 23 – 27 April 2018
The market ended in green conductively for the fourth week. The NIFTY index closed at 10577.35 up 0.92% for the week. The BANK NIFTY closed weaker, as we had indicated last week expecting more exposures on banking frauds. It closed at 2500.50 down by 0.79% compared to previous week.
